Campaign against Government: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) plans to intensify its campaign against the Hemant Soren-led government in Jharkhand.

The party took this decision at its state executive committee meeting.

The BJP will expand its public outreach and launch issue-based protests across the state.

It aims to highlight what it describes as the government’s failures on employment, law and order, corruption, and electoral promises.

Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi presented political resolutions at the meeting.

The resolutions outlined the party’s strategy to challenge the ruling coalition and strengthen its presence among different sections of society.

BJP Targets Employment, Corruption and Law and Order

The BJP criticised the state government over employment opportunities, law and order, and alleged corruption.

The party also questioned the government’s progress on promises made during elections.

The opposition party plans to take these issues directly to the public.

It will reach out to young people, farmers, women, tribal communities, and disadvantaged groups.

Through this campaign, the BJP hopes to mobilise public opinion against the state government.

The party also intends to strengthen its grassroots network and build support around local issues.

BJP Demands OBC Reservation and Early Panchayat Elections

The BJP also raised the issue of reservation for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in local bodies.

It demanded the completion of the triple test required for determining OBC reservation.

The triple test involves assessing the backwardness of the relevant communities, determining the proportion of reservation needed, and ensuring that the total reservation remains within applicable legal limits.

The party also called for early panchayat elections in Jharkhand.

These demands add local governance and political representation to its wider campaign against the state government.

Congress Rejects BJP’s Allegations

Congress state spokesperson Rakesh Sinha rejected the BJP’s accusations.

He countered the opposition’s criticism by targeting the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre.

Sinha accused the central government of corruption and weakening democratic processes.

His response reflects the continuing political confrontation between the ruling alliance in Jharkhand and the BJP.
