Delhi Traders ₹11,000 Crore Loss: The INDIA alliance rally in Delhi has triggered a major concern among the city’s business community.
The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) claims that the event caused business losses of nearly ₹11,000 crore.
According to the traders’ organisation, more than 80 percent of shops across Delhi remained closed during the rally.
The closures disrupted commercial activities and affected businesses across several markets.
CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal shared the organisation’s concerns.
He said traders had suffered significant financial losses due to the rally.
Goyal also revealed that the CTI had written to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi four times.
The organisation urged him to reconsider the timing and impact of the rally. However, those appeals failed to prevent the disruption, according to the trader’s body.
BJP Calls for a Padyatra
The political confrontation may now bring further disruption to Delhi’s commercial areas.
The BJP has also called for a protest through a padyatra.
The move has raised concerns among traders who depend on regular customer movement and daily commercial activity.
Traders Caught in Political Crossfire
Delhi’s markets depend on steady customer traffic, transport and uninterrupted business operations.
Political rallies and protests can affect all three.
The latest controversy highlights the economic concerns surrounding large political events in the national capital.
Traders now face a difficult situation as political parties continue their confrontation.
They want political organisations to consider the impact of their programmes on businesses and livelihoods.
