INDIA Alliance Mega Show: The INDIA opposition alliance will hold a major rally in Delhi today under the slogan ‘Save Vote, Save Nation’.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will lead the campaign alongside several prominent opposition leaders.
The rally aims to raise concerns over the Election Commission’s functioning and protect voters democratic rights.
Opposition parties have intensified their criticism of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The alliance has placed four key demands at the centre of its campaign:
- Resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
- Clear answers to questions surrounding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
- Protection of voters’ democratic rights.
- Greater accountability from the Election Commission.
According to the programme, opposition leaders plan to march from Minto Road to Ramlila Maidan at 12 noon.
The organisers have scheduled the rally between 10 AM and 5 PM.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will also attend the event.
His participation highlights the INDIA alliance’s efforts to bring regional opposition leaders together on a common platform.
The rally comes amid an intensifying political confrontation between the Congress-led opposition and the BJP over electoral transparency and alleged irregularities in voter-list revision.
